Zmodo for iPhone

The cameras are great. No issues. The problem lies in the app and subscription. If you don’t have the subscription, the app is wonky as can be. I can’t even get it to open at the moment. Used to be great, time to look for a new company.

I have used Zmodo for several years. Lately the app has been constantly crashing. Cameras are inaccessible. I do pay for subscription. Unless they fix the issues here then I will definitely switch brands.

I must say, after using the Zmodo camera’s and app for many years this last change may be the end. Their cameras are decently priced and have very good picture resolution. Set up can range from easy and fast to an all day affair if you aren’t sure what you’re doing. Support, when I have needed them has been good. You once were able to view a short 5-10 second clip of what your camera captured when triggered. All of this was free on the app. Very nice. In the last week they changed things and you have to purchase a Cloud subscription to see a short video. Otherwise you are just left with a small picture of what the camera captured. And you’re not able to enlarge the small image. This new update really ruined a great app. Had they not made the changes to pretty much force you into buying a Cloud subscription it would be a 4-5 star rating.

Y’all do know that your app is garbage right? Constantly crashes, audio, always lags against the video, apparently no user testing has ever been done because one has to turn on the audio every single time with every camera. And it’s extremely easy when recording a video to lose the video because the app glitches and sends you to the home screen. No, I won’t contact your development team. 1. They don’t exist or quit. 2. You literally have a plethora of problems listed next to each review. Fix those. You don’t need an email specifically stating what you literally just read. Hire a middle schooler to better code your app

These cameras are definetely not worth the money. I have nothing but trouble with them, the service is hit or miss, laggy, notifications r available on their terms. All they do is make it appear I have cameras

The cameras work fine, but the app is complete garbage. It doesn't matter how many times they update it, the app never works properly.

Their marketing department abuses push notifications. You will not only get alerts about your security system but you will also get notifications about their sales. No respect for their customers.

Required firmware update on my cameras but it fails every time. I suspect that my cameras are bricks at this point. Nice job Zmodo…I’ll make sure never to buy any of your stuff again!

App is frequently down
