MasterClass: Online Classes for iPhone

Whoever updated the last three times needs to be let go the app has been terrible.

The app doesn’t support cancelling your subscription. Lock in that gives subscriptions a bad wrap.

There’s no way to go back into Chris Voss. It gives an error and no other option to continue in the lesson.

This is just another subscription service that wants you to pay and forget that you’re on an automated renewal. I haven’t logged in for 6 months. They charged me for an annual subscription one year after I signed up to try it. I reached out IMMEDIATELY after they charged me and asked for a refund. After fighting with them they are only willing to refund 50% (but I get to keep using it for 6 months…whoopie!). I haven’t logged in for 6 months, what makes you think I’m going to start now. They don’t have many useful classes. They could have refunded the full thing but they are greedy.

Slow glitchy app, short, mediocre content. Cancellation extremely difficult. Thought I cancelled this months ago. Can’t access content so assumed cancellation went through but got billed again. Customer support initially responds then ghosts you. Offered discount then stopped responding. Honestly surprised at the lack of customer service with an App this pricey.

There’s a lot of little issues they need to work on this app. For the last 15 minutes, I’ve been just trying to get to the previous video of one of the episodes and it’s not easy to use. I highlighted three courses I wanted to take and they don’t seem to be getting saved anywhere so I have to look them up every time.

Short videos with good edits to seem valuable but you can save money and watch it on YouTube

Masterclass’s content is phenomenal. That is not what this review is about. It is about the fact that you cannot download content on the “standard” subscription, learning this only after purchase and being forced to upgrade to “Duo” subscription for $179.99, the the upgrade never being applied to the account. If you download this app DO NOT subscribe via in-app purchase. ONLY do it through masterclass website. The customer support is hot AI garbage. I’ve spent days trying to get my account fixed to simply get what I paid for. Still no luck.

Using an iPad mini and I’m having trouble closing dialogs and unmuting. Tapping on those elements has absolutely no effect.

The content is fabulous but using the app is fun, in fact it’s very frustrating. It’s hard to keep favorites, nearly impossible to navigate through episodes and difficult to search older classes.
