RecipeBox - Save Your Recipes! for iPhone

I had this app long before the in app purchases and it was perfect but recently it’s been changed so you have a limit on your recipes and can’t do a lot without a subscription. Honestly it’s just messed up now. I suggest finding a new app for storing recipes.

Now shows an ad for grocery delivery on every recipe. Even on paid version.

This app does not directly pull in recipes, it rewrites them. This has happened to me twice recently where the instructions on the blog recipe page and the instructions in the app recipe are completely (and I mean completely) different. The first time I thought I had somehow made a mistake or that the blogger had a decoy recipe embedded or SOMETHING. The second time, completely different blogger and recipe and I almost ruined it but caught the rewrite in time. This app would be amazing if it did not do this but on this basis alone, it’s unusable and will legitimately ruin recipes for you.

I used to really love this app. However, over the past several months, I can’t open it up without clicking through several screens trying to get me to upgrade to the paid version. It is incredibly annoying. If they want to put an ad at the bottom, fine, that’s fair, but it’s 5:30, everyone’s hangry, I’m just trying to make dinner here, man. Step aside, ad—this menopausal mama doesn’t have time for your rage-inducing marketing shenanigans! It also doesn’t always import recipes the way it is supposed to. That last part might be fixed by upgrading, but frankly, the current issues are not inspiring confidence, and by the time I’m paying, I suspect there are much better options for the price.

I wanted this app to be able to scan recipes and to get a special update for iPhone with Liquid Glass

Saving recipes used to be CHAOS 😅 now I just share them to RecipeBox and they’re all in one place.

Can’t do anything without signing up for a monthly subscription.

I loved this app enough to purchase it but now it wants me to purchase again to get new features. It’s so freaking annoying to see that same stupid pop up wanting me to pay again. Thanks but no thanks!

I want this to be awesome, and in theory it is, but the actual use and execution is meh. Recipes don’t always load, if you have to add your own ingredients because it doesn’t pull them over it glitches and exists app without adding to list when asked. I want this to be awesome but there are a lot of tweaks, like it often saves as “instagram recipe” and you have to change the name. Probably 30-40% of my recipes have said “recipe uploading” for two weeks. In short I wish I don’t spend the money but hope they have some updates and fix some glitching soon!

I’ve used this app on my iPad for many years, but now there’s a real problem. When I try to add a recipe, your app takes me to a screen that wants me to upgrade to a paid version … and there’s no way to opt out! Even if I search within the app for a new recipe, I get this screen offering a trial version (no money due right now) AND THERE’S NO WAY TO OPT OUT. I don’t want to switch, but I can’t use this app in its current form. Please fix!
