Been paying for Crunchyroll for probably 10 years. Very sad about the updates that remove comments and reviews. Reading reviews always helped a ton with deciding what to watch next, and the comments were a fun way to feel like I was watching shows with friends.
Now Crunchyroll just feels like a Netflix knock off.
Also annoying there’s no way to remove shows from the “continue watching” list.

Had no issues with Crunchyroll until they removed the comment’s section. The app is seemless, connection is great, it never really crashes and the simulcast selection and library is massive. But the community took a big loss because of the actions of a few. Where it used to feel alive and connected, Crunchyroll now feels like a dead thing with gaping hole in the spirit of the platform. The creators overreacted massively by deleting comments entirely where they should have just policed them better. Now I’ll never know the consensus on the direction of the anime, the camaraderie of being among the first to watch, looking back to see who is rewatching years later, or just the genuine interactions of fellow enthusiasts. It’s really a shame.

I know it’s on the free trial but there’s adds every 4 minutes and it’s terrible I sat down and watched 6 adds and then 2 minutes later I got 7 adds and there all the same adds there was no new adds they were all the same thing in 13 adds I watched they need to fix it I’m mad at this
It’s pretty good, but it doesn’t have some iconic anime

It has more Isakai anime than it does iconic ones for example one Punch, Man or the original Beyblade also Naruto Shippuden is completely undubbed and I can’t really watch subbed because I have severe dyslexia. I’m writing this review using speech so yeah.

I literally paid to download episodes to watch offline and the app either crashes or refuses to download the season I want. I’ve restarted my wifi, redownloaded the app and restarted my phone more than I should have at this point. The app won’t even connect to the home page at this point.

I’m not trying to be biased but I am not willing to pay money to have no adds. The app gives me 6-8 adds every 5 minutes of a series I’m trying to watch. Giving so much add in a short amount of time is not enjoyable.
