Worst dating app ever. Very overpriced.

I paid for the $100 level and this app is the worst. They send me “matches” in NYC when I am in PHL, they have the same people repeatedly in their search results and when you actually see someone you like, you can’t connect w them unless you want to pay more money to have them see your profile. It’s been 3 weeks and I have not connected w one person bc I refuse to pay the extra money to “power move” to have a person I like see my profile. Complete scam-do NOT recommend

This app is just like the next, really bad selection of people. Only limited to see my 5 likes a day at a certain time, finally get to said time and all the profiles they give me are bad quality. None match my filters even because there are so few users. I gave this a solid 2.5 year chance and not even one promising match in all that time.

This is by far the worst dating app. For the minimum level ($100/mo) you get next to no filtering, the automatic “matches” they recommend for you are not in your location (yes I checked my location was on for the app while using it) and there are plenty of options for my city when I search. If you want more control it’s $300/mo and full control it’s $2500/mo. This is absolutely ridiculously.

I am paid subscriber with a verified work email, yet my account was shadow banned without any notice. I only learnt abt this from a person I was about to meet before our second date, who told me I was not longer visible on their platform. When I reached the support team, instead of receiving any clarification, I was required to send a mug shot photo shot holding my ID with a specific posture. This is absurd, invasive, disrupting my personal life with unnecessary stress.

As a professional woman who values meaningful connection, I approached The League with genuine optimism given its positioning as a curated, high-quality platform. While the profiles themselves are generally strong, the overall user experience does not consistently support real engagement. A noticeable number of matches remain inactive, with messages going unread or unanswered, resulting in a backlog of stagnant connections. The app’s structure appears to prioritize visibility over interaction. Features such as “Happy Hour” and daily batches create exposure, but do not reliably lead to meaningful conversations or real-world outcomes. For a paid platform, there is an expectation that users are more intentional and responsive. Greater emphasis on active participation, timely engagement, and filtering out inactive profiles would significantly improve the experience. At present, the platform shows promise, but falls short of delivering on its core value proposition of fostering genuine connection.

I paid for an entire month, then they kept asking me to pay more every time I wanted to send a message to someone, then they resided my profile, while I still had half a month worth of subscription. Horrible, Horrible, do not waste your time and money on this.

Terrible chat feature. No users. It gives me potential matches that are 3-5 hrs away.

This is the worst dating app I have ever used. Such a waste of money. Nothing in the app is free because you cannot engage with anyone unless you pay- unless you are OK with traveling nationwide or long distance relationships. I set my location and noted distance as the most important factor. I keep getting only results for people who live many states away from me. Not cities, STATES. You basically have to pay to play and pay a little less than $1000 a month to get the search results you want. Why in the world would I spend that amount of money when I already have a low confidence in the app?
