2nd day and going strong. A lot of fun and strategy and it opens up as you progress. Great job Niantic and Capcom! Hopefully I don’t hit a paywall anytime soon…
  • Best MH experience I’ve had

Never really liked Pokémon Go so I had really low hopes of enjoying this. Very happy I did as now this is the main game I’m currently playing. This gives you the same experience as playing a main line Monster Hunter game (combos with different weapons, different strategies for each monster, ext.) but in a much easier to manage mobile form. You don’t have to worry about juggling items and can focus on the fight. Been playing for about 2 months so far and just about to unlock 8⭐️. Don’t know if this is fast or slow progression but I am having an absolute blast making different builds. I think I have 7 load-outs right now so that’s a lot of monsters I’m trying to farm for gear. Normally in MH I would just build one and max it out but that’s kind of impossible in this game, at least at my level it seems (need 8⭐️ for rarity 6 materials to spawn in) Only real con I can think of is how many materials you need for gear in the upper levels but I understand this aspect of mobile games is kind of in every game.
  • Long tutorial

Really long tutorial it’s why I don’t bother to play monster hunter because they hold your hand a whole 3 hours to an hour into the game
  • Awesome game, one issue..

I really have enjoyed this game over the last year. My issue is, I’m handicapped, can’t get around. It’d be nice to have some sort of handicap setting. Just a thought.
  • Inventory and time limit

The devs made a problem and sell you the temporary solution. You run out of inventory space fast and need to pay money to upgrade it. Time limits in fights means you need the best meta builds to clear endgame content with ease. It’s artificial difficulty. Beginning game is fun. End game is the worst tedious grind. Even for monster hunter standards.

I recommend do not download It’s really annoying at the start of the game. Because you only get five potions today.
  • Long time Hunter; not a lot of free time

As a ps1 MH Vet who is now a wife, a mom of 2 boys, and someone who is training a new puppy; I don’t have a lot of free time these days. MH Now has been a fantastic way to still scratch the hunting itch in my short bursts of random free time, instead of the long drawn out hunts of the console standard titles that I just don’t have the right kind of time for anymore. They’ve done a stellar job of distilling down the hunts into shorter 2 minute spurts and they can still be a fun challenge. Each monster requires thoughtful approaches and strategies. Personally I feel like Now has far more replay value than Wilds, to boot. My only complaint is that it’s cash heavy on anyone that hasn’t mastered the game and wants to play for more than a few minutes a day. The only way to get more than 5 potions a day is through the cash shop instead of the traditional potion crafting of other series titles. Once you get good enough though, you’ll find yourself not needing the shop potions. All the other shop things are frustratingly expensive but you don’t need any of them either. Would still highly recommend as it’s the most fun app game I’ve played. 2 years and Rank 216 at my slow pace, and still haven’t lost interest.
