Goodnotes 6: AI Notes & Docs for iPhone

As I go from 1 page to the next and add information in the middle of everything, my information I’ve collected and written is disappearing.

Very aggravated because I really would like to see my instructors lecture notes transcribed, but the app does not even allow me transcription. I went to the website to see how to do it and it stated that I have to download it, but there is no download to tap on so it’s useless at this point. I’m really aggravated need to fix this issue.

Good App

Goodnotes is my most important app. I use it for reading pdf documents. I used to be a Notability fanatic, but they got sleazy with the subscriptions, started piling up heaps dumb gimmicks, while allowing the core functionality to deteriorate, so I switched apps. There are small things I miss about Notability, but, overall, the switch has been an improvement. One thing, though, that I wish Goodnotes would figure out is toggling between notes/tabs and the documents/folders states. It is bizarre and awkward that if a user goes to documents views they lose their tabs and the only way to return to that view is to open a document. There should be some simple way to toggle back and forth between these views. It's not a show-stopper usability issue, but it is kludgy design -- bad craft. It offends my design sense. I hope at some point Goodnotes decides to address this issue and does so with its usual finesse. The flaw stands out because everything else is done so well.

I have had so many issues with my account. I have jumped through all the hoops customer service has thrown at me and done everything they have asked of me and my account is STILL having problems. I’m a full-time student and don’t have the time to deal with this any more. I’ve asked customer support to delete my account and I’m switching to another note taking app. I could not be more disappointed with this waste of time and money.

I usually don’t write reviews for apps because I don’t really feel the need to that often but I feel like I need to write one for this app. I ended up using Good Notes after realizing I had to pay for Notability. I really enjoyed using Good Notes for classes and helped me organize things really well. One day I went to open my notes and they were all completely gone. It was like I never wrote anything down. I’m not sure if I was on a free trial or I only had a certain amount of pages that I could use for free but I never got any type of reminder or notifications about it so I had no idea what was going on. My first 2 weeks of class notes are completely gone and now I’m nervous I’m already going to be behind in my classes so I’m pretty upset about this. I could’ve done something wrong as well that caused this but I don’t think I did that I know of.

iPad app is great. The Mac app needs work- very buggy

I purchased a digital file for a journal on Goodnotes. That file is no where to be found because the email shown is apparently an email for Goodnotes that I cannot find! I am in a “free trial” for a subscription I do not want. And they make it difficult to find where to cancel. Goodnotes makes these types of transactions very difficult to navigate.
