The stories are good but the ridiculous way to pay for them make it not worth it.

I used to love this app, the stories are good, but coins are difficult to accumulate without purchasing coins, unlike other apps, they allowed you to watch ads to get coins, but now with this app is even harder, they came up with this My Stars system, they take part of the daily coins that you get and turns them into My Stars coins, you have to use them within 24 hrs. My experience with this My Stars coins system, the majority of days they don’t allow me to use it even though I read new chapters continuously until I ran out of coins to use, and they still didn’t deduct any coins from My Stars. So every day those My Stars coins were wasted. I now no longer want to read from this app. There are so many reading apps out there. I can just find other apps to spend time on.

You get daily coins… that literally will expire less than 60 seconds afterwards. The app also takes coins for “chapters” that you never read. When you reach out to tech support, as I have now for over several months, they make excuses unrelated to the problem and close the matter. I’m out over 400 coins just the last 30 days and this has been going on for some time. Don’t waste your time or money. It sucks too as some of the stories are halfway decent.

Joylit has stolen $30 from me & never gave the coins that were paid for. I have sent several emails requesting my coins or the refund of my $19.99 purchase & $9.99 purchase. I have attached the screenshots of the purchases & still have not received my coin purchases. Joylit was great, but now, something is seriously wrong. BEWARE!!!!

I love a lot of the stories and would like to read them, but sometimes I have to go days without reading because there’s not an opportunity to earn enough coins to read the chapters without spending money. Most apps I’ve been on to Reed have the option of watching ads in order to gain coins or watch ads in order to unlock the next episodes. But this one seems to have two options. 1. either you wait until you get enough coins by checking in every day or 2. you have to spend money.

I have over 360 coins and have read thru chapter 19 in What Happens in Vegas. I’m enjoying the book, but sadly I cannot open chapter 20 for 190 coins, no matter what I do. The app wants me to BUY COINS to open chapter 20!!! Not too happy that I cannot continue the book.

This book brought me here and the wonderful array of books keep me here. Love this app.
