Manta - Manhwa, Comics, Novels for iPhone

Typically I adore Manta. I have so many I’m currently reading but out of nowhere it went from 3-6 gems an episode to 60!!!! What is up with that?! So I pay for 150 a month or something like that and then I get what 4 episodes?

Honestly super disappointed because I’m already paying monthly. What’s the point if now I have to pay double! If that’s the case I might as well just stick with webtoons. Honestly super sad and disappointed with this app now. And now they are giving people “more gems” but are charging 50 per episode. Honestly doesn’t feel like it’s worth it anymore

i think the title is pretty clear. I read manta almost daily and WITHIN THIS WEEK single chapters went from 6 gems to 60 and 50. that’s absolutely ridiculous. why am I paying $10 a month (for the subscription With gems) to have to buy more gems on the side to be able to read the majority of the apps collection. and why weren’t we notified about the change? I checked my emails and I didn’t see anything to give notice. I love this app. I’ve been with this developer all the way back at mangarock. It was already devastating to lose all the amazing BL from decades! (80s-‘10s) but now I also have to pay to be able to see Any full story? I’d rather have a higher yearly fee with access to everything or just go buy the physical manga when it’s complete (which isn’t super common for manga/webcomics

I tried to stick around as long as I could. I stayed even after you added the gems, but I notice more and more of the series that I love and reread I no longer have access to without buying gems. I already pay for a membership so this is ridiculous. An to top it off, today I see that the price of episodes has drastically increased from 3-6 gems per episode to FIFTY GEMS per episode. What gives? You really expect me to pay 50 dollars for 200 gems just to cover 4 episodes? If you want to keep customers that actually care and enjoy your app (that are already willing to pay a monthly subscription) you might want to stop trying to rob us blind. I loved this app but now I just can’t enjoy anything because I can’t finish reading anything.

I’ve been using Manta for years and am a monthly subscriber, I love reading so may different stories and usually I don’t mind if they cost gems because I get “free” gems with my monthly subscription BUT today I noticed that the gems for an episode which are normally 5 gems ARE NOW 50 GEMS. Are you kidding me? Buying 100gems from the app are around $10, so to read just two episodes is $10? Thats very steep! I normally wouldn’t mind paying for gems to help support an artist but raising the price of an episode 45 gems is ridiculous.

Great app

I’ve used a lot of reading apps and can hands down say manta is my favorite. Very easy to navigate and their membership is really great. You get access to a ton of HQ stories alongside the gems you get every month.

Great for Manwha, but I wish there were more.

I love this app :) I do wish the gems were a little cheaper, but I think the prices are pretty aligned with what you’d pay if you were buying physical copies of the series so I think that it’s great for the artists. It’d be nice if there was more say in what stories we get to read for free with the membership maybe, like if we could choose a certain amount of stories to read for free each month instead of it being limited to a select amount that stays the same.

Love this app so much I’ve been using it for as long as I remember. Before they used the gems I had the membership and I still love it I just wish they didn’t make you pay for extra gems if your a member. I wish it would go back the way it was before the gems because this app is so special and you can’t find anything like this one. I understand why they do it but if you already read the manga you should have access to it. I read so many and I can’t access the ones I love anymore I have to pay with gems and I feel like since we are members we should have access to those as well. But still love the app and read it everyday :) just wanted to point that out
