Everything I wanted this app for, had a monthly fee. How many monthly fees do these companies think we can afford??? Everything has a monthly or weekly payment from mortgage, to car payments, electric, Netflix… almost everything. If you don’t have a lifetime access option, the app is not for me.

This app is phenomenal. At first, I said I would not be able to learn from YouTube and I almost gave up. I found this app and learned several stitches in a day and slowly doing it correctly! I can’t tell you how long I spent pausing tutorial videos and rewatching clips to see where they enter the hook before I found this app. And I didn’t pay for premium! One of the best apps I’ve come across in a while!

This app is great for anyone starting their crochet journey. I self taught and was having a hard time with patterns. This app give you a step by step guide, video tutorials in different stitches and an AI feature to ask questions who gives you even further details and instructions. There are a lot of different projects to choose from also. From stuffed animals to hats to clothing to blankets.

I got this app because I’m a beginner crocheter and wanted to expand my projects. I picked one of the baby bunny hats and the instructions had zero details. It never specified the number of stitches, never mentioned any yarn color changes (when it needed it), and it doesn’t specify the different types of materials needed (in this case, I needed wire and didn’t know). The instructions would tell me one thing and when I asked the AI chat for extra help, it would tell me instructions completely different than the original. I was going to pay for this app but after having a terrible time with my first project of this app, I decided I’d put my money into something that is more specific, has videos on what the project should look like, and picture checkpoints.

It may be too soon for me to review this app since I just started using it yesterday. I’m not a real beginner to crochet, I do know the basic stitches so it was slightly easier to understand what the videos are instructing me. I think the best instructions I’ve read on crocheting came from a beginner’s Woobles kit and from Yarn Pal. The pace is slower for most beginners to catch on with patience. It definitely beats trying to learn from a book. I do wish the ability to save the patterns you want to try becomes available soon. Also, the ability to search for patterns. There’s a lot of cute patterns I’d like to try on here. Still giving it five stars, hoping the app will improve in areas I find lacking. It’s a good app in my opinion.
