I contacted the app services and was told the original Apple ID on my old phone needed to be accessed which was impossible on the new one, making it a sure fee that they get to collect because I had to double pay and cancel the first subscription. In the day of tech I should contact those in charge and get help, not a “sorry we can’t” response.

The app has slowed to a crawl, taking from 10 to 30 minutes to caption 1 to 2-min videos. Used to just take a minute or two. Sometimes it times out and doesn’t caption at all. I use this subscription for my job and it’s very frustrating.

I have been using the paid version of this app for three years and find it very useful. Recently it stopped functioning correctly but Daniel and the tech team tackled the problem and solved it. After downloading a newer update version 1.79 it now works again as intended. I appreciate the team’s thoroughness in working out a solution. I use MixCaptions to put subtitles on audio files of old time radio shows for hard of hearing and deaf residents of a senior living facility. After downloading the completed file of a program, I import it into iMovies and add still photos for interest. MixCaptions makes it possible to produce an enjoyable weekly program that is well received.

Does not do what it claims, unless (possibly) you pay for a membership. It says it will render captions automatically regardless of whether you pay every month, but that’s a lie. It never worked, not a single time. All it did was add a watermark, comically, saying “MixCsptions” on a video that was nothing but spoken content, with NO CAPTIONS.

I just joined RedNote and needed an app that could add Chinese captions on my videos. This one was super easy to use. So thankful for the reasonable price, as well.

This app has a very awkward UI. It was not easy to use. They didn’t follow the basics of Apple UI design. Furthermore, its caption editing features are cumbersome. It doesn’t allow changing the beginning and ending times of each caption, which is an important part of getting captions correct.
