Care.com: Hire Caregivers for iPhone

I paid for monthly, and after a while they just closed my account, this is a scam

Great resource for finding a nanny. Finding the right nanny is a lot of work and it is much easier to track with this app, although it is not perfect. A couple things to note - the nannies are able to apply with a generic description to many jobs, so you don’t know if they’ve read the job description. I found many had not and I had to reiterate the start time and that it was a full time role, expecting at least 6-12 months. Many did not respond but the ones who did were often excellent candidates. The “not interested” feature displays in a very confusing way so I accidentally selected “not interested” for the wrong person and had to go back and undo it several times!

Campaigns

I like this app for finding people and for the usability after you get on it- but I don’t like that you get charged just to send messages, that you then also give care.com more for more info that should be included, that it allows you to POST a job without knowing that you have to pay first before you can message- so I had several old messages by the time I realized and then felt like I was held emotionally hostage to pay for it, so I could message them back. It would be better customer service to have full disclosure before I actually POSTED, then I would have known before engaging and putting in the work. I would have still done it; but would have felt better about it.

Is it just me or the app and their website is extremely slow? I’ve been waiting for over an hour for verity my profile (I’m still waiting). I can’t even contact any caregiver; I’m extremely disappointed.

Paid for 3 month sub, now when I try opening the app, it keeps loading (3 dots moving)

App used to be terrible. Seems better now.

Mom had an emergency situation while I was traveling overseas and in need to find someone helping mom. However, I can’t get access from foreign countries which is strange as I started using care.com.com for mom while living abroad several years ago. Are we all bounded and confined ourselves to US soil these days? Luckily nothing serious happened.

I have used Care.com several time during my years of caring for my mom and found wonderful. Wonderful caregivers who have since become friends. My mom is passed now and I am looking for a caregiving job for myself getting ready to use Care.com. Thank you so much.

After paying $50 a month for full access and usage, the app is not working. I’m unable to use the app and have to go to the website to view anything.
