I initially started using Copilot as a supplement to basic Google and Bing searches. Just a way to get clearer answers, quick summaries, and a solid launchpad for deeper research. What surprised me was how quickly it became part of my daily routine. Whether I was troubleshooting something technical, refining a home project, or just chasing down a curiosity, Copilot kept showing up with useful, well-structured insights.
One slippery slope? It doesn’t just answer your questions, it invites you to go deeper. Before you know it, you’re not just solving a problem, you’re rethinking the whole system behind it and CoPilot is offering it to become sort of project. My point here is you could end up with many CoPilot suggested projects. I guess Microsoft wants to keep you engaged with their product.

My Preferred AI App

I’m very familiar with using multiple AI apps for different reasons, I find myself coming back to Copilot as my preferred app. It can lookup information and often provide it better or more in-depth than even Perplexity or other apps can. It keeps the information synced between devices, remembers info about me to refer to, has one of the best audio voice services, and best of all it’s free with no limitations like the other apps. I still use other apps to test them out and for various reasons, but for now this one is the main AI I use everyday.
They removed “Deep Research” — stop paying for it

The only benefit of paying the $20/month for the “pro” version was to have access to the “Deep research” mode. Now Microsoft removed this mode from the app. Why am I paying at all for it ? Short-sighted decision. Gemini, here I come !
