Bad

I registered for the 7 day free trial to see if the service was worth it as I travel internationally often. After following the instructions including re-starting my device, the app shows that I was still “Connecting to FI”. I gave it about 24 hours to connect, which it didn’t. The “high speed data” was .02mbps from a speed test I tried. I tried to trouble shooting by using the “Trial guide” links, none of which work. They all bring me to a page which reads “sorry this page can’t be found” I read online that deleting the App and the ESIM can sometimes help. I tried this in multiple variations, with and without a VPN, without a phone number and with my number which I would want transferred had the service worked. None of my attempts changed anything. A day later I tried reaching out to Google support through the FI app to help resolve the issue. I chose the chat option. The Rep told me to try deleting the app, restarting my phone and re-downloading the app. So I did. After which, I could not access the chat nor start a new one, and lo and behold, no fix. Still “Connecting to FI” so I chose the email option this time. I sent an email laying out the exact situation above, and have not heard anything in almost 48 hours. Now I have 2 days left of my 7 day trial, and the service still does not work. I feel like I did my due diligence and have tried every option available to me to fix this extremely basic problem, including things not in this review. I can’t attest to how the service functions when it actually works, because it doesn’t appear to work at all. It refuses to, and refuses to allow me to try and fix it. Therefore I am offering my opinion in the form of the very well deserved 1 star review.

Won’t let you transfer 907 numbers
2
By Emmanuel Mleschnitza
I moved to Japan and one of my buddies recommend Google fi to me. Works well overseas but when I tried to switch over my 907 number, which was unlocked, and was transferable on the Verizon side, an error code kept coming up. I worked for a few hours trying to get past it, going back and forth between both support groups and at one point had both Verizon and Googlefi on a joint call. Googlefi would then continue to blame the Verizon side for being unable to transfer. To verify that, I attempted to check to see if other 907 numbers were eligible and I couldn’t find any that were. If you have a 907 number you most likely wont be able to transfer.
Is the rating really not fake?

The average rating is 4.4 but most ratings in the past 6 months are 2 on average.
Signed up for a 7 day free trial which in my opinion is a huge mistake for this business. All it did was show me how terrible of a WIFI you offer. Day 1 of my free trial the service is unwatchable. 30 seconds to a minute of viewing and the WIFI clocks and freezes up. Then it starts and another 30 seconds of watching a show before it freezes up yet again. It repeats non stop. Totally an unwatchable WIFI. Thanks for the free trial to show me that I definitely will not be purchasing this generic service. Like I said in my title to this review. RUN!!! I’d rather flush money down the toilet than give my money to this scam of a company

Be attentive of G fi they will charge even when you decide to change or modify your account to upgrade your phone and there is no customer service agent to speak with regarding errors or issues. Very poor service no individual to help ya out.
